The PKA people do understand that we are part of a larger community. We, therefore, have a social responsibility that challenges us to rise to the needs and issues of that community whose very fabric depends on the environment in which family values are engendered.
At PKA we embrace a family environment that is outward in its focus. As such we are a people that are an extension of a larger PNG society that we must meaningfully contribute to from a professional and social perspective. We participate in various activities and actively support different causes that focus on the development of lawyers and our society's issues and challenges.
PKA has continuously contributed to the training and development of lawyers through guest lectures at the Legal Training Institute, the University of Papua New Guinea and Divine Word University (Port Moresby campus). We have our own charity which raises funds through the ever-popular PNG Charity Soccer Tournament, which we have been running annually since 1998.
With King & Wood Mallesons, we assisted in creating a Legal Handbook to help small business organisation and non-governmental agencies in PNG.
The PKA people understand that whenever they engage and interact with the larger community, they do so not only for themselves, but also as ambassadors for PKA and for PNG.
