This Bill, when passed into Law will amend certain important provisions of the Land Act 1996 intending to improve governance to stamp out corruption in land dealings in the country. It will improve the functions and operations of the National Lands Board, create Provincial Lands Boards and a Land Appeal Tribunal. The provisions relating to SABLS will be repealed and the powers of the Minister will be clarified and more circumscribed. Also, the sale and purchase of land to foreigners will be restricted.
